Orthotics, also known as orthoses, are devices you place into your shoes in order to support and improve foot function.

You may have seen the insoles available in most stores, which are inserts designed to add cushioning. These products work well for relief of mild foot discomfort, however they cannot achieve the therapeutic effect of custom orthotics.

There are different types of orthotics which serve different purposes. After you have been evaluated, our medical expert will determine what type of orthotic will best suit your needs and what modifications should be made to the molding we will take of your foot. This will ensure your custom devices are tailored to help you feel your best. We will also make any necessary adjustments at your follow-up appointment.

A few conditions we treat with orthotics include:

• Plantar fasciitis
• Achilles tendonitis
• Flat feet
• Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome
• Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction
• Bunions
• Neuromas
• Arthritis
• Diabetic ulcers

If you are interested in finding out if custom orthotics would benefit you, schedule an appointment today!
