Dr. Megan Johnson is a double board-certified foot and ankle specialist providing complete expert care of the foot, ankle and lower leg.
Dr. Johnson founded Tidewater Foot & Ankle Associates in 2018.
Dr. Johnson is double board certified (Diplomate) by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS), and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). She is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), and holds active memberships with the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and Florida Podiatric Medical Association (FPMA).
She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Towson University. She earned a medical degree (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine) from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science where she also received the Scholl Merit Scholarship.
She went on to complete a 3-year surgical residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., which included extensive training in wound care and limb salvage at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. In her final year, Dr. Johnson served the role of Chief Resident and received the Resident Research Award.
Dr. Johnson relocated to Florida in 2014 with her husband to pursue private practice. She enjoys all aspects of foot and ankle care including both conservative and surgical treatments. She is eager to formulate a custom treatment plan for each patient using both modern evidence-based protocols and the newest medical technologies.
Dr. Johnson is on staff at Mease Countryside Hospital and Countryside Surgery Center.
She especially enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, the beach, and running. She is a finisher of many Half Marathons and 5k races, and is a proud mother of two beautiful daughters.
